It seems that the ProRACE team has an insatiable enthusiasm to finish the season in the place they deserve: the best! After a frenetic run of positive results in the 1st and 2nd rounds, this weekend our riders offered a pleasing display in the 3rd round of the Trial World Cup fought out in Vöcklabruck, Austria.
Ion Areitio returned to demonstrate once more his excellent physical form and good sensations on the M5OS. After finishing just a step away from the podium in the final of the European Championship, the Basque rider led the 1/4 final confidently, achieving the best score and a place in the long-awaited semi-final. Areitio efficiently managed to handle a high-level final with little margin for error, ending up on the podium in 3rd place to collect the bronze medal.
Overall, it was a very positive and gratifying weekend. After the previous week’s European Championship, reliving the same kinds of thrills has been wonderful. A 3rd place that tastes oh so sweet! The machine is demonstrating its reliability and ultra-high level! All hail the M5 OS!
Vasek Kolar followed in the footsteps of Areitio, achieving 2nd place in the 1/4 final. Nevertheless, he faced some obstacles in the difficult areas and finally obtained 9th position in the rankings.
Lucien Leiser competed in a very close final. An error in the first section meant that he was penalised 5 points, leaving him only 2 points away from the Basque rider. Even so, he achieved a well deserved and well fought 4th place.
In general, it was a very positive weekend for our ProRACE team in the 3rd round of the Trial World Cup. We will continue to work hard for the next appointment that awaits us in Albertville, in only 2 weeks.
