The Italian website Bici Elettriche has put to the test the electric foldable bicycle from Monty, the EF39. The result has been truly satisfactory and we want to share a brief summary of their conclusions with you all.
On an electrical level they emphasise the battery position, integrated in the frame, which favours protection from blows and stands the test of time. Additionally, it allows the bicycle design to be cleaner and balances the weight of the engine situated in the back wheel. The 36V and 8.7AH battery, light and easy to transport, has sufficient capacity for urban journeys and can be moved easily and comfortably by folding the bicycle. It is not necessary to take it out of the chassis; it can be directly connected.
As for the dynamic tests carried out in Rome, with sessions between 8 and 38km, they highlight:
- Relaxed steering position.
- Silent engine, even with sudden accelerations and steep climbs.
- Battery life, sufficient for travelling 38km through the streets of Rome even when having to overcome short and steady ascents.
In terms of folding and transport, the EF39 boasts reduced dimensions (80x64x36) and a weight of 18kg.
